Catalina Palacios
Youth Life Coach
She/Her
Catalina “Caty” Palacios is a Queer Xicana Danzante raised in Oakland. Caty has been working for the community of Oakland for more than 20 years.
She brings a wide range of experience working with adult women and youth from K-12 on violence prevention, substance abuse and parent support workshops. As a woman with an incarcerated loved one she knows first-hand how mass incarceration affects women. This led her to join Essie for Justice to help end mass incarceration and break the isolation that women with incarcerated loved ones often experience.
Currently, Caty is working at CURYJ as a Life Couch to young people in Oakland. She feels blessed to be working and supporting her community.
