Events for February 2023

Ms. B and B.H. Brilliant Minds Project will be hosting the 12th Annual Juneteenth Celebration and Festival. The event will take place on June 22nd, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the West Oakland Youth Center located at 3233 Market St., Oakland, CA 94608. What to Expect at the Event:

• Live Blues and Jazz performances
• Vendors & Community Resource Displays and Sales
• Kids Zone
• Health Zone to Provide Health Screening and Resources
• Racial Justice
• Mental Health Awareness
• Movie Screening

We feel so honored to have the opportunity to share space with Ms. B, as well as community builders. CURYJ will also be taking over Stage 2 from 12-2 p.m. where we will have live performances and our CloseYouthPrisons and BuildYouthLeaders merchandise available. CURYJ Stage 2 (Market Street Stage):

• 11-12 p.m. Tribute to Dr. Prince White
• 12:15 p.m. All Nations Native Drummers and Pow Wow Dancers
• 12:30 p.m. Pouring Libation by Urban Peace Movement
• 1-2 pm Performances by Indigo Mateo, Determination Black Mens Group, $olo, 57 Boys, Jose Reyna
• 2 p.m. CURYJ Receives The Dr. Prince White Award for Community Building Around Racial and Social Justice
