Can’t commit to a sustaining membership, but still want to support? We welcome gifts at every level. Your generous contribution pays for the Youth Power Zone in The Fruitvale, youth stipends, community healing events, and so much more. 















We are always in need of items to support our community. If you are in the position to donate goods or services that will go directly to our Oakland family, please reach out. In particular, we are always in search of raffle items, food and beverages, emergency supplies, holiday gift items, diapers, or personal hygiene products. Interested? Are you in a position to give a charitable legacy gift to CURYJ? There are several ways to leave a legacy contribution. Please email us at give@curyj.org for more information or to let us know that you would like to support in this way.

1. Give Through Your DAF
2. Bequest by will or trust for estate or cash gifts
3. IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution: You must be at least 70½ years old to make a QCD. There are tax benefits that can be explored and satisfy part or all of your Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) for the year.
4. Retirement plan assets: Name CURYJ in your IRA or other qualified retirement plans. 
5. Life insurance policies: Gift full-benefit or partial beneficiary life insurance assets to CURYJ.
   1. Option 1: Name Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice as a full-benefit or partial beneficiary and your estate may receive a charitable deduction from estate taxes.
   2. Option 2: Give a paid-up policy outright. We accept gifts of existing life insurance policies that have cash value and no outstanding loans again the policy. You may receive a charitable deduction for a portion of the face value of the policy.














Relationships are a huge gift. Another way to give to CURYJ is by mobilizing your networks in support of our mission. There are so many creative ways to bring new folks into this work – you can host a house party, plan a river trip, do a movie night, or plan a book talk and specifically highlight CURYJ’s work (and we will show up!)
